I finished E.B. Sledge's With The Old Breed, which was excellent. I enjoyed it so much, I figured I'd go ahead and read the other two books that make up the basis for the HBO series The Pacific. Today I started Robert Leckie's Helmet For My Pillow.

I just finished reading Biggest brother, and a Higher Call. both books were VERY good reads in their own right. By the way, tomorrow is the 76th Anniversary of the meeting between Charlie Brown, and Franz Stigler.

Now, I'm going to start Storm of Steel.

I thought I would post this, it's a bit of a B list campaign as WWII goes but I had no idea of the conditions the Italian and Greeks faced, number of troops and causalities. Really interesting read - woeful lack of maps though.

Not much of a (book!)reader as I stated before.
But lockdown and the winter makes one change his habits.
So I am reading several books at once now.

The first one is what I like to read most, comptempory individual history.
This book holds one great history I will share asap on a new poste.
A record of testimonials of locals from a Belgian city (St Truiden) by Wim Boffin.

Next is one of the 6 (or more....) books in a serie about Flemish collaboration organisations.
Vlaanderen in uniform, meaning Flanders in uniform, reissues (originals are hard to find these days).
