Whats behind your profile name?
There are many weird and wonderful profile names out there.
It would be great to know why you came up with it!
My family name is Woolgar. When I looked up the meaning of the name it came up with this:
Origin of the surname
WOOLGAR, or rather the original spellings of Wulfgar, Wlgar and Vlgar, is a Saxon name meaning 'wolf-spear'.
Lets hear yours

Re: Whats behind your profile name?
Hi guys
I did 8 years in the TA, I was on machine guns, (GPMG, light and SF role), for nearly 4 years. British army slang for GPMG is "Jimpy" and it stuck with me! (Thats also why my avatar pic' is of a GPMG-SF kit in the high mount)
Could have been worse, I was also a qualified radio-operator and could have used the nick-name "scaley"!
Regards etc

Re: Whats behind your profile name?
Great idea Nick, I've often wondered what was behind the great names.
Mine is sitges1990
I married my Spanish wife in Sitges, a small town south of Barcelona in 1990.
