Hi Reibert , love those two trench knives you`re showing !! the hammesfahr is in great condition as you say , but i really like the FW Bachaus example , it`s very unusual - see how the shape of the blade is very modern for it`s time , and the little crossguard manufactured into the blade at the ricasso - very unusual , i`ve never seen one like it , congrat`s on a great find
cheers Al
Hey Al,
Thanks!
The lady actualy runs a small antique shop, and had listed the one navy knife, but not the other. She could only tell me she got them from an old man who was moving into an old age home.
Funny part is the lady only sells little china cups and the like...
Hi Dan , tell the lady to buy a small fork for the garden I like your avatar by the way !
cheers Al
Thanks! I figured the avatar was fitting given the subject of the forum and the time of year.
Actually I told the lady to write down all my contact information, and to contact me if she came accross ANYTHING similar.
i like the forward thinking mate
cheers Al

Fairbairn Skyes commando knife Its a repro got it for $30 shipped
Hi,
My newest piece is this H/J knife, I got it Sunday from a guy i have been doing some nice deals with. It is unusual as it is only
7 ,3/4" long, ware as the full size is 10,1/2". I was happy to pay £20.00 for it. I dont know if that is a good price or not but i liked it,
( give me you thought on it) It has damage to the badge but it is in good condition. The maker is Solingen rostfrei.
Dave.
