    American GI with abandoned Panther

A photograph of an American soldier standing near an abandoned Panther late ausf. D or early ausf. A? No notations on the reverse to provide any identifiers. This also has one of the worst resolutions of any photograph I have ever seen. Maybe the negative was damaged or poorly developed. I can’t see it being a goofy copy with the way it appears compared to ‘soft’ copies.

    Hi Ben.

Even though the resolution is not the best, that is a great photo.

Thanks for sharing it with us.

    Kind regards,

    Will.

I do like the photo and after all, it was taken over 75 years ago

The print is very poor, an issue when printed and not the negative. Not easy to say for sure whether it is an original or not but interesting. A pity the Panthers turret number is not clearer.
