ID us soldier last name

Hello folks,

Can anybody help to ID the last name on the pucture? Its from a us soldier my grandma used to "see" during liberation.

Really important to get his last name

It looks to say Damonfora? But that'd be quite an odd surname; certainly one I've never heard of... Maybe it was a fake surname for this soldier to (I dont mean to be rude) 'get his fix of grandma'?

Yeah or my grandma didnt know how to write his name.. people in this area didn't Speak english that well back then. Thanks
