Hopefully a German speaker will notice this and translate for you. It seems to be about foodstuffs, perhaps how they become hard to get as the war goes on. It mentions bread, potatoes and meat among them and refers to Italy and the Ukraine.

Whatever its just an opinion.
Thanks Jerry
Not had much feedback from other forum members regarding these, I didn't envisage them being so uninteresting
I find them fascinating, these were all collected by one soldier during his endeavours from Normandy to Germany, more to come
I have found a very informative site however
If you get answers please post it here so I can see it.

I have found this information courtesy of Psywar.org, I do think there are any copyright restrictions
TRANSLATION OF G.40, DIE NAHRUNGSMITTELVORRÄTE SIND NICHT ZU ERSETZEN
(OBVERSE)
THE FOOD RESERVES CANNOT BE REPLACED
1939: Germany had in reserve 4,000,000 tons of bread grains, 500,000 tons of fats and large
quantities of meat.
1942: Germany has already had to cut once the rations of bread fat and neat, and to ration
potatoes.
1940: the Occupied Countries fed Germany.
1942: Germany has to feed the Occupied Countries, and the 2,500,000 foreign workers.
The 1,200,000 tons of grain which Germany used to get annually from the Ukraine is a thing of
the past. The Ukraine is a battlefield. The annual export supplies of the Balkans in grain has
sunk from 3,000,000 to 600,000 tons – Germany must share this with Italy. The pig population
is down by 40%. The pig-slaughter will be followed by a cattle-slaughter.
More than 12 million tons of potatoes were frozen last winter. The loss can only be made good
with TURNIPS.
(REVERSE)
THE FOOD RESERVES ARE EXHAUSTED
On September 24th, 1939, State-Secretary Backe said:
“WE CAN MAINTAIN OUR PRESENT RATIONS FOR YEARS
FROM OUR OWN RESERVES ALONE”.
October 1941
Weekly ration in kgs.
April 1942
Weekly ration in kgs.
October 1942
Weekly ration in kgs.
BREAD 2¼ 2 ?
POTATOES Not rationed 2½ ?
FATS 0,270 0,200 ?
MEAT 0,4 0,3 ?
On June 27th, 1942 State-Secretary Backe said:
“IN THIS FOURTH YEAR OF WAR I SHALL HAVE TO MAKE
STILL HEAVIER DEMAND ON YOU THAN HITHERTO.”
Thanks for the info. much as I suspected with my war movie german, foodstuffs are harder to get as the war progresses.

Many folks just think of paperwork as boring or superfluous history. I'm with you, I get a kick out of reading old paperwork from all sides. I've got receipts of the German Army buying provisions and soldiers paying for mundane things like dry cleaning. It's all part of the history!
