And photos from Thomas Ridge's WWII service. He spent the first half of the war as the Marine Naval Attache in Brazil, and then as a planner for many of the operations in the second half of the war, serving on Okinawa. He went of to become the Battalion Commander of 3/1 during the Battles of Inchon and Chosin Resevoir

This is a press photo i assume because the backside states in typed letters "Grab eines englischen Piloten" (english: Grave of an english pilot"). It's still a very sobering picture considering this was taken in 1944.

The cross reads:

He ius buried in Banneville Cemetery in Normandy , 602 (City of Glasgow) Squadron flew Spitfires in the 2nd TAF supporting the Allied forces in Normandy , great photo !

I printed this off of an old negative that was part of a ww2 grouping given
to me by the son of a a member of the 104th infantry regiment.

a pharmacy. I think maybe Sgt. Schriber had a little too much fun in ww2.
