My greatest fear is that one day I will die and my wife will sell my guns for what I told her I paid for them

I actually purchased it!
wow nice job I had my eye on it but unfortunately eBay didn't notify me it was almost over, good to see it went to a good collector
Pity no one ever thought to write the name of the serviceman on the back. It's a nice portrait, hopefully it was a good likeness.
Just a thought, pop a question to the seller for any info..... might be able to help you, also......England 1943.....makes me wonder if another US serviceman may have painted this for his friend, just an unusual notation if you live here ?
Paul
I like this portrait, but I think the media used to produce this is a combination of pastel (artists chalk) and pencil sketch rather than paint. The face profile is well executed.
