Ww2 RAF pilots letter and 'dear John' letter

Hi everyone can do with some help please. I've bought some raf letters and a 'dear John' letter all from one F/LT R.J.BOLT. no. 132702. Aswell as bits of 'WINGS CLUB' papers member no. 10816. My first question is what's the wing club? Also was the FLT LT a pilot. Any help would be great cause want to gather as much information as possible so I can get a goods display shelf. Thanks for the links Richie. I have wrote to the step son so hopefully we can arrange a meet up and he can come read them for himself, may give him and me a better insight. Cheers again mgn040
