Background information on 20 Separate Tank Training Battalion
In 1941, the battalion was at the plant number 183 in Kharkov, preparing crews for the T-34.
By order of the NKO of the USSR No. 003ss "on the formation of training tank and armored brigades" dated January 3, 1943, it was directed to the formation of the 3rd training tank brigade.

Background information on the 31st Training Tank Regiment
The 31st Reserve Tank Regiment was stationed in Chuguev, Kharkov Military District.
In pursuance of the directive of the Organizational and Mobilization Department of the KhVO No. OM / 508 dated 10.10.1941 from the regiment to the Military Representation of the Plant. Shevchenko was sent a team of 16 people. (note - specialists in military-technical specialties, electricians, drivers) Captain Grigoryants signed the message of the chief of staff of the 31st ZTP.
On the basis of the 31st reserve tank regiment on February 15, 1942, the 31st separate training tank regiment was formed as part of the South-Western Front.
On January 15, 1943, on the basis of the Order of the NPO of the USSR No. 002ss of January 3, 1943, the 31st separate training tank regiment of medium tanks was transferred to staff No. 010/401 (T-34) and became known as the 31st training tank regiment T- 34.
As of April 1945, he was stationed in Saratov.
