Bulgarian Order of the red banner nº 1546

This is a bulgarian Order of the Red Banner that I have received today. It is an Order awarded since 1950 to the military and citizens for their bravery and heroism in times of war, or for merit in strengthening the power and structure of the Bulgarian People's Army.



I simply wanted to show you the Order. I would appreciate any comments, since I only know that it is a first issue with the number 1546. Although the Order has a low number, I suspect it was one of the first for long service in the army.

If, as I think, it is an authentic Order, the image of this soldier who goes to fight for his country conveys a certain romanticism....









I wanted to ask you if any of you know what material the Order is made of. The material seems quite heavy. In fact, I was surprised by its weight. I also liked its design, I was expecting something made with aluminum and yet I think I have something better. Thanks in advance.
