Unidentified military cap (Possibly serbian)

Hello,
I foolishly bought this hat a while ago thinking it was a "Bosnian mountaineer Waffen SS" cap as the seller told me.
Turns out I have been fooled, and I bought a phony cap that isn't even made in the same material as WW2 era caps.
I learned my lesson, however it's origin has bugged me since I got it
I wasn't very knowledgeable on caps, and I still am not... Could somebody help me identify the real origins of this cap?
It looks East German, Yugoslav or Serbian to me
