Default WW2 Yugoslav Communist Partisan Uniform Questions

    Hi all!

Got a few questions about Yugoslav Partisan uniforms. Looking at pictures, the communists appear to have worn a butternut-brown uniform that's distinctive from the pre-war Royal Yugoslav uniforms. Different pocket design, different shoulder boards, different insignia. Some pre-war Royal uniforms appear Russian-influenced, others French.

So, was there a specific WW2 Communist Partisan uniform? If so, what was the model designation? Finally, is there a source for surplus or reproductions of these uniforms? Here's some examples I've found, with the first being from Force 10 from Navarone:

As we know Yugoslav partisans were guerilla warfare soldiers so there were no official, often not even similar uniform for partisan soldiers during ww2.

Very common were ordinary civilian Clothes, especially during winter months. Also you must take in count many different ethnic groups making up partisans so the Clothing was Also influence by their traditions.
Another great Source for partisans were caputured gear from Enemy soldiers, so it was not uncommon to see partisans in German Jackets, but more often there were captured from local Enemy forces such as Domobrani and Ustashe.
Moreover some partisans uniform were old Kingdom of Yugoslavia Army uniforms.
However some uniforms were made by local tailors with russian influence in later Years of ww2.

So I think the Best guess for most standard uniform would be that russian influenced locally made style and Titovka (cap) with red star.

    Regards,
