Can anybody help me with the makers mark?
Is it a German bayonet?

That’s the trademark of „E. & F. Hörster“ from Solingen
Horstator is correct by ivbaust, the bayonet is probably a early dress KS98. Steel handle and knife type of blade.
How is the fixing of scabbard to belt? leather strap?
I think it's a bit smaller than a KS98 and more likely a trench knife, from the WW1 era. E & F Horster made trench knives based on the KS98.
It should be a hook on scabbard when not belt haenger added, or something else as this is not a boot knife. it could be made even WW1 , but i personally tend with this maker stamp to early 20ies, certainly prior 1933.You could proof it to attach on a Gew98 Mauser rifle, to see its attachable or not. Standard 4cm long Mauser rail.
Thank you all... Highly appreciated...
