Re: interested in buying a WW1 German "butcher bayonet"
I cannot get a better picture either, because these are taken by the auctioneers themselves.

Re: interested in buying a WW1 German "butcher bayonet"
No scabbard, possibly replaced grips, and it is also missing the button.
I wouldn't go crazy with this one.
If it was complete - even without the scabbard - I'd say no more
than $70 or $80, but as it is no more than $40 if you've got
to have it. There are still plenty of these around.
Just my two cents.........

Re: interested in buying a WW1 German "butcher bayonet"
As the others have said, this one has Way too many negatives with it. Personally, I'd look for a sawtooth butcher, myself. Impressive and Mean looking things. And coming from the WWI, one has to sit and hold it and wonder "How many times has this thing been run through someones guts?"...awesome pieces... William

Re: interested in buying a WW1 German "butcher bayonet"
Hi, Jule !
If you are still interested in a butcher bayonet, I do have some in my collection I do not need no more.
I´m looking for Army issued US M9 bayonets.
Maybe we can swap ?
Best,
R.
