Interesting piece, trench art probably, the leaves are perhaps Oak leaves?

That is an interesting one. I like the blade catcher quillion.
Is the Oak leaf section of the handle a separte peice that was attached or is that just the way it was carved?

this is the same piece of wood,but was cutted,i like also the ''leaf''rivet in the center,but my favorite section is the copper application in the aluminium where is the marking DB on pommel.
there was a many work with this knife

I´m not sure if its Stochad, Stochod or Stochid on the Pommel.
If its Stochid it could refer to the River Stochid in Russia which was part of the Easter frontline from 1916 till 1917.
If its Stochod it could refer to an location in the region of the Stocid River, a Bridgehead named Stochod is mentioned here: The Soldier's Burden
