I have one that doesn’t have a makers mark... I believe this is ok. Mine has the imperial stamp on the spine. I don’t know if these were also sold to civilians, if so, yours might fall under this category since there’s no stamp(s) on the spine.

This option is not often found.. But if you are not obsessed with 98/05 bayonets, look for yourself in a better condition
unfortunally the bayonet was cleaned,possible there is something on right side of blade near crossguard, a details of he proof on pommel that You Reibert presented could help too.
That s what I think to Andy,the seller says that the bayonet was not cleaned but I dont think that
I assume the piece was made by 2 firms and the date could be probably 1916-18. The value should be moderate.Scabbard and pommel was cleaned from rust. The blade could be polished.
