is it a trench knife?

hello i have found this knife today,what don you think?can it be a trench knife?it has similiar stylistique and measures like knives that most real made it to the trenches what don you think?the knife is marked under the cross guards with some letters.

The blade shape appears to be more of a hunting knife, but, could very well have been used as a trench knife.
The knife has been rusty at some point and by the look of the stag on the handle, appears to have been exposed to the elements or been close to high heat.
