British Heavy Panga Machete WHJ & Company Limited GWH?


Picked up this Machete this weekend, and the research on this piece has been an enjoyable headache, if you can understand.
Without the trademark I would have gotten no where at all.

The Machete is a heavy Panga with horn handle.
The trademark is a "wild animal" with bayonet.
The Company name on Machete: "W.H.J. & Co Ltd"
I cannot find any info on what W.H.J. may stand for, I believe thay are British?
I did see the same trademark on a Machetes marked "GWH" (see 1st picture of trademark)
I think "GWH" is a later incarnation of "WHJ & Co Ltd?"


Please Help: trying to find out company history and date this piece to a possible conflict?
