British Style Gurkha knive for opinions
This was the other Gurkha I picked up. Of British style without any markings. Looks well made. Not sure where made or how acquired. I do not know the meaning of the additional hash marks on the handle are. They look intentional. Service stripes type???
All thoughts and opinions are appreciated.

Nice looking kukri and it appears to be well used which is always a good sign as a lot of them are / were souvenirs
looks good, as you say British issue "style".
The extra notches in the grip might just be to add extra grip to the handle

Whateverits just an opinion.
I have one nearly identical to this and it is broadarrow marked and dated 1917.
So I would say definitely not just a souvenir.

I was addicted to the "Hokey-Pokey" but I've turned
myself around.
I like it too. The majority of issued kukri are not marked. This one looks to me to be of WWI vintage.
I think the extra grooves in the handle are the owners "mark".
