Looks like it could be an early knife. Blued blades are WWII and parkerized blades are post WWII. You should take a pick of the top of the pommel to show how it is attached since I am not seeing a pin in the pic provided. More experience guys will have more info.

Yes that is an early screw type pommel. Nice knife.

I really like this one and the leather sheath looks original. Great knifes to collect.

I was addicted to the "Hokey-Pokey" but I've turned
myself around.
This is a 1st Design Mark 2 Fighting Knife with screw in pommel. It appears to be correct. Not many manufactured, as they soon switched to the supposedly stronger (and less expensive) Number 2 design, with a pinned pommel. Sheath appears to be original also. A nice set to be sure. See the reference is Cole III, Page 86.
