Has anybody seen a 1907 pattern bayonet without the bend (X) marking

Article about: The majority I've seen obviously have it but with the inspection marks and it being reissued I presume the blade was fit for purpose? Is it typical for it to just be forgotten?

    Never noticed it before but can't say I'm on the lookout for it. My guess is it was lightly stamped and came off in the '26 rework.

    Looks like Enfield produced and during WW1, so really need to compare with another Enfield P1907 of the same period. But Alex's explanation is most likely reason.
