You are correct, the green horn gripped Collins is a hard one to find.
The Case XX is much more common.
They are big, heavy and really impractical but they are cool.

You have some very nice examples there, that's a great collection.
Australian made versions of the "V-44" (Collins #18) were produced by a number of makers during the war including marked examples from Gregsteel, Marsden and Mars. Here is a post war Marsden example from my collection, the blade etching being more elaborate than the markings found on wartime produced knives. The handle is not original to the knife but the scabbard is. Note Aussie made scabbards can often be identified by the press stud being marked "CARR" for Carr Fasteners of Adelaide.
