Quick Help Needed

Hello all, Just received these terrible pics. Blade is unmarked but the scabbard doesn't fit right and the periods in the font look odd??? any help appreciated!

Just couldn't make a positive call and risk it!. Had to pass on it.... I hope my gut was right... something just didn't feel good about the font any thoughts or comments appreciated.

I think your gut was right and you did good. The lettering appears too shallow compared to an original and the 8 is particularly odd.
