Repro M1 Short Bayonet

Article about: G'Day All, Here's a scary repro I obtained yesterday. I have it compered to my M42. Once aged, it could be a little tricky to pick! Pointers to note on identifying this repro to a genuine on

was in FLA 2 years ago and they were sellin alligator jerky!!?? WEIRD!

anyway.... you are VERY right about the M1 bayos. but notice that ALL of the repros (at least ALL of what i have seen) have the fully black grips/pommel. Some also have false writing above the "flaming bomb". just my observations from what ive seen around. But they really are the closest to original repro bayonet i have ever seen. I have been told they are being pushed out of taiwan along with some Arisaka type 30s. the repros just keep getting better and better, but thanks to this site....we can help each other out and keep on our toes

If you wanna know about M3/4 M5 or many other bayonets and scabbards this guy is the authority.

I believe that all the originals were Parkerized. This one is blued, which would make me suspicious....
