RH PAL 36 knife, WW2 era one?

I've picked up one of these very nice PAL 36 knives to add to my collection of equipment used by the New Zealand 3rd Division in the Pacific war in 1943.

These knives were acquired in Guadalcanal by the 3rd Division for use in the various small island invasion operations, along with various other bits of US made kit, after the Khaki Drill uniforms were ditched for US made HBT uniforms in sage green.

Is this knife is a WW2 era made one? Thanks.

Nice purchase. The knives are WW2 era IMO. I also think the sheaths are also but I rarely see them in that nice of condition. Others will have better knowledge.

Very nice Pal 36 knife, the blade looks buffed, the late right hand sheat is in very good condition
