Anyone have any info on this Gurkha knife?![]()
There is a number stamped on the cross guard and a GR stamp on the pommel.
The handle pommel and crossguard appear to be from an 1888 pattern Lee Metford bayonet.
I would suggest a re worked Khukri
The handle is that of the 1888 Lee Metford rifle bayonet. I will have to research a little more to see if they were made in this configuration. I'm sure one of the more knowledgeable gents will be along soon to give you more info.

The blade appears to be one piece running into handle.
That would be normal for any blade that would fit this handle . Are there any marks on the blade itself.
No stamps on blade
That is, indeed, a "Strange" one! A Khukri bayonet! lol Looks period done and well made, to boot. I Like it!
(I could imagine this on the end of a rifle!)
