To give you an idea, about collecting in the US.
Everyone of mine is stamped England.

Non-England marked knives are available. But they are less
common than the stamped ones. So if having one that is not marked
is important to you, it's just a matter of having the patience to wait until one
comes available.

I believe the ones stamped "England" were made for export, as opposed to the "issued" ones or the ones that went through "MOD".

That is not quite right.
"England" stamped knives were not made "for export". They were made for and the same
as any other F-S knife. They were just never issued. After the war, they were imported into
the US, But they are actual government contract made knives.
