    Soviet fighting knife „NR 40“, (нож разведчика = nozh razvedchika).
    translated: scout-, (recon-), -soldier´s knife, 1940 pattern.
    Also soviet paratroopers were equipped with this knives.

    Introduced: in 1940, hence „NR 40“.

    Manufactured by "ZIK": Златоустовский инструментальный комбинат
    имени Ленина, (Zlatoustovskij Instrumentalnij Kombinat, Imeni Lenina, Zlatoust, Cheliabinsk region).

    overall-lenght: 26,5 cm
    blade-lenght: 15,2 cm

    BTW, the Yugoslav´s copied the NR.40 in the 50ies !
