Help Identifying A Fake Webbing

Hi all,

First of all sorry if this is not the right place to post this. I didnt know where else I could put it. I picked up a east german webbing straps from epic militaria, and i was looking at the stitching and was woundering if it was fake, can someone help me

These are the later 1980's Y straps, and by this time the quality was going downhill. The earlier nylon webbing used a leather - almost heart shaped reinforcing piece where the three straps were anchored together. Epic Militaria sell a mixture of genuine and reproduction military surplus. If it is reproduction, the say so in their description.
