The krasniy vyborzhets plant in the 1930s, produced aluminum table ware and field kit for the RKKA. They mostly made kettles (M1927 type and later the M1936 type), during the 1930s the RKKA ordered the krasniy vyborzhets plant to make aluminum spoons for the RKKA. Production of these spoons ended somewhere before 1945. These spoons were large, to compensate the lack of forks in most RKKA units. However, these spoons weren’t issued to every soldier (most soldiers took cutlery from home). Trench art is commonly seen on these spoons, and sometimes a hole can be seen punched in to them. So it could be placed around the soldier belt or neck with a thread. These spoons were frequently modified by the soldiers.

Decent condition krasnij spoon, but the marking is gone
Strange trench art spoon, looks like a krasnij vyborzhets one. But the spoon end is too large to be a krasnij vyborzhets one. Engraved NIG and 42
