Russian gas cape
I just recently bought the book "The Soviet Soldier" by Philippe Rio and there is a photograph of a Russian gas cape and a diagram of how to wear it on page 94.
Does anyone have more information about the gas capes? I have not been able to find any information about them for several years.
What kind of material were they made of?
What were their dimensions?
What did the pattern look like?
What color were they?
If anyone can also post photos, that would be great!
In fact, I would enjoy learning more about all of the various accessories that were supposed to be in the Russian soldier's gas mask bag. I would like to use it as an historical teaching aid.
Thank you all for any help you can offer.

Hello Bill, I guess the gas capes were made of polyamide and were dark or olive-green. But Philippe will certainly tell some words to answering your question, cause the author is a member of this forum.

By the way RKKAFan, what kind of material exactly is polyamide? Is that nylon?
