I had one of those in black leather some years ago, with black leather suspenders built in and as I recall, it also had a permanently affixed leather hanger for bayonets or other gear. I'm guessing 1920s through WW2 period, as it is a leather version of the US Model 1917 cartridge belt. Whatever the case, a very interesting piece and quite hard to find. Living down here in Texas, you would think more Mexican military stuff would be on the market, but not the case, at least not in my experience. The number of Mexican military pieces I've had over the years I could count on one hand and still have a few fingers left. Thanks for posting.

You may want to reach out to the Pancho Villa State Park Museum or the Columbus Depot Museum both of which are located in Columbus, New Mexico. This is the town that was raided by Villa and his men in March 1916.
They have some great artifacts as well as items from the Villista's that were found on the battlefield after the raid.
Your belt looks similar to this set-up at the Columbus Depot Museum.
