British Flare Pistols and Associated Holsters
Hi I recently bought a 1915 Mk III Webley & Scott Flare Pistol and also a leather holster to go with it. The holster was sold as having no markings but on it I can see faintly a NATO stock No. and the date 1978, and is identical to the wartime holsters i've seen with belt loop and adjustable shoulder belt. This is a lot more recent than I would expect, this got me thinking;
Does anybody know
1. When did the Mk III flare pistol leave service?
2. When did all 1" flare pistols leave service?
