Guys,

I think this is wartime, it states on the top Lucas Ltd, Birmingham or is there a Birmingham in the US?

No date but the old cable looks period?

Jock, Lucas was based in Birmingham UK. I'm not sure how old the inspection light is, but I had an orange plastic one that I used to use for working on my old BMW. My one was the same design as yours but made from different materials and a horrible colour

As Simon has correctly pointed out it is British and looks period to me, could be 40's or even 50's.

(There is of course a Birmingham, Alabama)

The 50s version is still what the troops have today, the light brown horrible thing that doesn't give off much light.

The wire is what makes me think its war time as its that brown cord covered stuff prior to UPVC etc. I have taken a better pic.

However if its 50s it is what it is!

Does anyone have a vehicle to go with it or can use it?

Maybe a swap?
