British Watch Vertex
Guys,
Found this the other day.
Have done some research and the WWW on the back predates the internet.
Apparently it is Wrist Watch Waterproof and is an early issue watch?
It has the crows foot with a serial number.
It was probably a German soldiers souvinere.
It works intermitantley so I suppose it needs a service. I don't know if people still do that?
I don't know what sort of strap it would have had, leather I suppose?
Any one any other info?

There seems to be some interest in it. The guy selling it obviously knows his stuff. Bit confused with his NATO watch strap though!

The straps originally would have been leather one piece types, sometimes with a wider leather tongue or 'stock' fitted to it. BTW, just seen exactly the same watch on a military watch auction site go for $173.50 after 18 bids.
