Article about: The handcuffs are marked on the barrel with ‘R.C.S 1941’, indicating they were made by Ruben, Craddock & Sons for wartime use in 1941. They are marked with ‘3’ which I believe in

    Default British WW2 1941 Police Handcuffs

    The handcuffs are marked on the barrel with ‘R.C.S 1941’, indicating they were made by Ruben, Craddock & Sons for wartime use in 1941. They are marked with ‘3’ which I believe indicates the size (3 being the largest) and they are also marked with a War Dept arrow and 86 or 88. I believe that this means that they were for the military police rather than civilian police, however, I have not confirmed this. Unfortunately I don’t have a key for them, although they all had the same key so I’ll just have to keep my eyes peeled for one.
