Can anyone ID this poncho-half tent please
Hi Guys, picked up this poncho--- half tent in a 1937 patt large pack , but none of the items are marked with manufacturers marks or dates. It came with the strap as shown, and poncho is about 6 foot long and 5 foot wide. Poncho has flaps that open to let neck through and close up when used as a tent. Any help much appreciated.!!! I don't know either. It looks well designed but less well executed. Looking at the stitching it seems to me to be done by a hand operated (?domestic?) sewing machine as oppsed to in a factory process. Note that the stitch lines are not precise, the thread is thinner and the stitch runs are not finnished as you would expect in a factory process.
Maybe it is a "one off"?
