Help me Identify U.S. Army Pack

Hi folks. I know this packs in rough shape but im confused at what it is exactly. It kind of looks like a m1944 or m1955 to me. Not sure if the large square buckle is U.S. though...is it British?

It's a late model M41 USMC pack. Buckle is USMC. Could be a 50's type?

I would suggest to look for any date/manufacturer markings (as far as what era its from), but the marines had a habit of not marking their gear

it's 50's for sure, the webbing straps show it
