HELP need help w/rectifier and mine detector
Could someone help me with some information on a couple of WWII items I have recently picked up. I have a Signal Corps RA-87 Rectifier. Also on it is CABR-37068-Phila-43.
I also have a mine metal detector MFP-4-45. Handle M-445H, also on it is C-446-H and SC6489A.
Could someone tell me where I could get information on these and to what possibly value could be.? Also is there any danger in the old battery for the mine detector?
Thanks

Re: HELP need help w/rectifier and mine detector
If its a mercury battery yes, if it is a carbon battery only if its leaking. I have 2 mostly complete British mine detectors but I'm not sure of the model. They use headsets from the old C42 Larkspur radio sets. I will need to go and dig them out & see what there is for instructions. I'll try to get back to you on this ASAP.
