Markings on a WW2 US M6 Gas Mask bag?

Hello, could anyone tell me about these markings on an old M6 Gas Mask bag? They are perhaps done by an owner after the war?
Your opinions are much appreciated.

Its possible..U.S servicemen often marked their kit with last name/initials and the last four digits of their service number.
Makes kit more interesting imo.
