Article about: Had 'em out took a couple pics -Left UK made. note the bottom right (Aust) is a factory reject fixed for service. Anyway it's a whatever post.

    Had 'em out took a couple pics -Left UK made (top left Aust mod). note the bottom right (Aust) is a factory reject fixed for service.
    Anyway it's a whatever post. No light box here sorry! and the mop cloths are genuine!

    Nice lot Rene,
    I've got a couple of really rough ones, but here is my best one.
    UK made , P08 marked ME Co , dated 1911
    Note the strap modifications to suit P37 gear.
    You can see the marks where the original 2" chapes and buckles have been removed.
    marked CMF WA and D&D .

    These used to be in boxes by the dozen when I was a lad haunting the disposal stores, nobody wanted them cause nobody knew what to do with them.....

    .. then along came Rene!!!

    Good idea Rene. Dragged mine out. I dont have a WWI entrenching tool cover but there seems to be a JG one here. Three of the five heads are WWI (McKay, Chillington and Meadowbank) and two of the helves are also WWI.

    Cheers Roger just have the one I'm guessing is Canadian? came with a Canadian carrier and is only marked with a Z.

    I’ve been looking for one of these to no avail..... well not in a reasonable price range anyways. Now I know where they all went!!! Nice collections fellas
