Got this today at a garage sale for 5 bucks, never seen one with this type of handle before. Dated 1941 and made by L.F.&C. Is this type rare? and for the metal I need some help finding out who made it, and when.
Thanks,
George

Thanks Eric, it defiantly threw my for a curve when I saw. I'd been out of the loop for the better of a year now until I bought this
Plastic handled US ''eatin' irons'' are not that common - you don't see them too often.
Wouldn't think they are any more valuable really, maybe a couple bucks more
than the aluminum type. Though I am surprised they weren't .50 cents
or $1.00 at a garage sale.........

Steve.
