Question about pattern 39 entrenching tool carrier (BEF)

Hey,

Was wondering if the following cover would be considered original WW2 BEF equipment.

Were these ever copied by foreign countries after the war or is this carrier exclusive to the early war BEF?

I'm fairly new to collecting Commonwealth. The white stitching and lack of date make me wonder if this is okay.

I found a shovel that needs a cover and I would like to know what to look for.

Better images are called for, but (on the strength of that provided), I share your doubts.

Just trying to remember where mine is, and I’ll add some images for reference..
If this one has a big purple-black ink blob on the back, you might be in with a chance (though this in itself is no guarantee)!
