Rare WW1 Aussie entrenching tool?

Article about: Hi, I recently purchased this entrenching tool. From a bit of preliminary research, and from a makers stamp in readable condition, I found out that it is an Australian WW1 tool, made by Over

    We didn't use the D^D stamp in WW1, the marking was just an arrow within the D so I guess this stamp was just what that manufacturer used, it all looks ok to me though. Nice find!

    AIF is correct before WW2 the mark is the large D with the arrow in it or below it. There is a book on Commonwealth bayonets that has all the markings/factory stamps etc.
