I wonder if it might be a British produced one, but to my eyes the material also looks strange, as the ammunition pouches are not the same sort of webbing as the pocket flaps.
I believe these were also produced in Belgium, for use with the FN-produced version of the BAR.
Certainly late production with the webbed alloy hook.

Just throwing this out there. sterile CISO produced Okinawa for MACV-SOG
This was one of the go to items MACV-SOG used
or a Wal-mart knock off but they don't have the smell (something to do with the anti-fungal anti-rot treatment I suspect)
I just checked the MACV-SOG belt, its almost the same, but it seems, i'm not that lucky , I dont think its repro either, all repros has shitty buckles, this feel authentic...
