G'day All
Anyone have one of these? 1918 dated with Aust WW1 DD stamps. Came in a big heavy wooden box containing rope arranged for projecting ship to ship. I may take pics of that later as it's in storage

line thrower (grappling hook out the barrel) for use with the navy in good condition your handle seems the wrong way its supposed to be on the top rather than bottom

Would it by chance be a thread in Barrel and you could just turn it enough to put the barrel right .The metal compositian on the barrel looks different than the main frame of the pistola I wonder if they used a brass bronze mix to make it stronger.

couldn't say but if you twist it to the right it may move

G'day Guys
The grip handle is correct - I also have the original wooden container with the rope set for projection. The projector is (for storage) set in the lid.
Diagram shows top of projector
I guess they used brass for the salty sea and air
