Sorry Paul- it's not handy at all, it's actually a complete waste of paper; it's one of the worst pamphlets on any subject I've ever read- fully half of the 'information' in the text is completely wrong and it's full of fakes too.
Ohhhhh- pillage then burn...
Hello Paul,
I have this one as well and have to say, I almost never use it. I would rather go on gut instinct.
Ralph.
Searching for anything relating to, Anton Boos, 934 Stamm. Kp. Pz. Erz. Abt. 7, 3 Kompanie, Panzer-Regiment 2, 16th Panzer-Division (My father)
I bow to your greater knowledge!..
Is the one they co wrote with Ulric any better?
I've never read it, but I'm dubious given how poor this first offering was. That much misinformation isn't going anywhere- it just grows LOL
Ohhhhh- pillage then burn...
I have a question Matt. What is an excellent book source for the Erkennungsmarken?
Paul,
Try this book:
Jean Höidal: "DEUTSCHE ERKENNUNGSMARKEN Von den Anfängen bis heute"
Should give you a solid start in understanding virtually all types of Third Reich Erkennungsmarken.
Ray.
PS: If it is only SS Erkennungsmarken that interest you try this:
"Die Erkennungsmarken der SS Einheiten".

I do like Jean Höidal: "DEUTSCHE ERKENNUNGSMARKEN. Von den Anfängen bis heute. However I has a question about it : earlier same author released a similar book titled "Deutsche Erkennungsmarken des Zweiten Weltkrieges " , it's not that easy to get and I would like to know if it worths the search or if owning the other release it would be redundant to buy it. Thanks in advance
Regards
Matt
