Classified section Warrant disc - IMMEDIATE ATTENTION REQUIRED

Hello all,

Look at what the owner did.....

He has not posted that he cleaned it either in the item description which is still for sale in the classified section - something needs to be done by the forum staff.

Why on earth do people mess with history? If you're told to not clean old coins, why would old Warrant discs be any different?

Dead right on cleaning items it has now lost all the lovely patina from years of history, I wish people would think before doing this type of thing.

Ouch- that's such a shame; I'll never understand why some people want to 'restore' things and in the process destroy the historical details remaining on them.

But what exactly requires 'immediate attention'? It's quite obvious the disc has been cleaned and it hardly affects the sale that it has been (in any dodgy way)...

Its not the same badge. Check the holes, they are not in the same position.

JeZoCoh is correct ......they appear to be different discs!
there is something different in the numerals - the first number 6 in the second one has a bigger circle/hole at the hook of the number that is not there in the first photo. Also as he mentioned the hole appears to be lower in relationship to the 'I' in the 2nd photo.

I don't see any definite differences - given how much smaller and far lower-resolution the 'cleaned' photo is, I'm not sure how it could be said there might be tiny variations. Angle and lighting that have a surprising effect on what appears to be there and where it is in a small, lower-resolution image too, so you'd really need at least an equivalent large, good res photo to compare and properly state there are significant differences. You can't just blow up the low-res shot and expect to use it, nor can you just shrink the big high-res one.

I suppose folks do this to try to spruce something up - make it
