Appears to be ok, not unusual to find blank ekm. Some put fake stamps on them and sell for big money.

It's Great! Thank you!!! So did they use to stamp them at the units too?

If the Waffenmeister found himself at the front I guess it’s possible. Any number of reasons how it might have got there, but if you found one I expect there are more nearby.

Thought shall be the harder , heart the keener,
Courage the greater as our strength faileth.
Here lies our leader ,in the dust of his greatness.
Who leaves him now , be damned forever.
We who are old now shall not leave this Battle,
But lie at his feet , in the dust with our leader

I found a few hundred exactly the same in a fakers workshop. As possession of them is not a crime they remained there! He wasn't using them for a while however as Her Majesty gave him accommodation for 5 years for various other legal transgressions.
I do know he is back in business in Uk but his rubbish is very low level.

I was being facetious of course Paul, I have found blanks before too but wouldn't stamp them up and sell them, although others do.

All this fake stories are so sad. I am glad I found this in a forest as a blank one. In this case I am sure it is original..... (it is the first I have)
